こんにちは！半年以上ぶりの更新です。
日本では、ワクチン供給の遅れ、副作用についての様々な見解、度重なる緊急事態宣言の発令など、不安を感じていらっしゃる人が本当に多いと思います。
私はニューヨークに住んでいますが、今はマスクをしないで街を歩く人が増えてきました。何か役立つ情報はないか、しんどい状況が続く皆さんの参考になることは何かと探してきました。
これまでずっと命を張って治療に頑張り続けているICU専門医の話をYouTubeで届けようと思いました。ニューヨークが回復してくるまでの経過、ワクチンについての見方など、彼女の貴重な経験とメッセージをシェアします。
思えば2020年3月、ニューヨークは新患が1800人の段階でロックダウンしました。多くの飲食店が閉まりスーパーなどは入場制限、徹底的に人と距離を置く、PCR検査を受ける、街の中から人の姿が消え家にいることが呼びかけられました。今、東京の新患は、2021年8月7日現在で4500人を超えています。現在の非常事態宣言の内容が検討されるべきではないかと私は思います。国民の理解や協力が得られる、国のリーダーシップや対策が求められています。早くこの状況から1日も早く脱することができるよう祈っています。
これから先のことは、NYも日本も世界中のどの国も、わかりません。ただどんな毎日も大切に楽しく生きていけるよう、私もジャーナリストとして力を尽くしていきたいと思っています。

Hi! This is my first update in over half a year.
I think many people in Japan are really worried about the delay in vaccine supply, various rumors about the side effects, and the repeated declaration of a state of emergency.
I live in NY, and now more people in the city are not wearing masks. I have been looking for something that can be helpful to everyone in Japan, where the situation is still very difficult. So I’d like to introduce a critical care physician in NYC who talks about her experiences during covid.
Looking back, in March 2020, NY was locked down at the stage of 1,800 new cases. Many restaurants were closed, supermarkets restricted entry, people were urged to watch out for social distance, get PCR tests, and stay home as people disappeared from the streets. Now, the number of new patients in Tokyo is over 4,500 as of August 7, 2021. It is my opinion that the current declaration of a state of emergency should be examined. There is a need for national leadership and measures that can gain the understanding and cooperation of the people. I hope that this situation will settle down soon.
I don’t know what the future holds for NY, Japan, or any other country in the world. However, as a journalist, I would like to do my best so that we can live happily and cherish every day.
